It’s difficult to proofread your own work.  When you are reading your own work, it is easy to read what you meant to write instead of what is actually on the page.  Whether it is a journal submission, a thesis, dissertation, manuscript, newsletter, or any other written document, it will benefit by being viewed by another set of eyes.

Editing includes:
Reading through your manuscript at least three times – one round of editing is on a printed version of the manuscript.

  • Correcting spelling, punctuation, syntax, and typographical errors
  • Checking for consistent use of capitalization, abbreviations, hyphenations, and word usage
  • Reworking awkward phrases to ensure flow
  • Substantive changes to the text to guarantee clarity, comprehension, continuity, and flow
  • Checking that writing style is consistent
  • Rephrasing and revising sentences to ensure that ideas are expressed clearly

Editing fees:

Regular time frame (between 7-21 working days depending on length and availability)
$18 per page (250 words)

Expedited time frame (up to 7 working days depending on length and availability)
$21 per page (250 words)

All edits are clearly marked in the document for you to accept or reject.

Editing that requires re-writing, checking information, etc., will be billed at an hourly rate of $50.

Minimum charge for any level of editing is $35.

Poster Design:

Poster sessions give you the challenge of communicating your research results in a single poster.  Condensing and presenting your findings into one visual can be a challenge and trying to work with design programs can be frustrating.

Working with a graphic designer will ensure that your poster is visually appealing and gets your points across clearly.  I am skilled at layout and design.  You give me the information that needs to be communicated and size requirements and I will put together a poster that is sure to be clear and visually appealing.

Once the poster has been designed, it will be sent to you for comments and suggestions for changes.  Once the changes have been incorporated, I will send you a PDF file for you to print.

Rate includes editing and design.

Regular time frame (between 5-10 working days depending on complexity and availability)
$450 per poster

Expedited time frame (up to 5 working days depending on complexity and availability)
$750 per poster
